Charles Mann, former National League Football standout with three Super Bowl Championships has turned his sites on government contracting. From 2004 till 2010 Charles was the CEO of Alliant Merchant Services, a 100% minority owned and operated company, that represented the Visa, MasterCard and Discover association and sponsoring banks which specialized in credit and debit card processing and other related services.  In just six years, under the leadership of Mann and his partner NFL Hall of Famer Art Monk, Alliant enjoyed double digit growth every year.  Charles recently sold Alliant and is now part owner ofA& K Security overseeing the Business Development arm of the company as it broadens its approach into the government arena.

Steven Harrell

 Regional Sales & Marketing Vice President

Steven Harrell has over 10 years experience in the physical security industry.  He started in the industry after college working with the Department of Defense as a Security officer for a large international research firm.  His career path then took him into sales positions for 7 years where he picked up his communication, electrical engineering and network computer skills.  After he felt the time was right he returned to the physical security industry working for one of the largest privately owned contract security firms for four years in a management capacity to further advance his career.

Today Mr. Harrell has joined our team of professional managers at A & K Security.  He conducts business as one our Public Relations Officers. 

Steven holds an A.A. in General Education from Chabot College, B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science from Cal State Hayward and a current private pilot instrument rated SEL certificate with the FAA. 

Readiness Factor

A & K Security is the only security firm that has the ability to gear up at a moment’s notice.  The San Jose International Airport’s security was under A & K Security’s guidance during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.  This readiness factor shows this firm’s planning, training, communication and execution ability to move from “Yellow” to “Red” according to the Department of Homeland Security’s threat level status.

Use of State-Of-The-Art Technology

A & K Security is the only security firm that uses “Vision Cams” in most of its vehicles.  This equipment provides each security officers an extra pair of “eyes” and “ears” when conducting surveillance and/or a security check.  This level of technology also provides instant replay in the event something was missed or may be used in a court of law as hard proof evidence of this situation under investigation.
